Alberto Olivo is currently a visiting Ph.D. student at Heriot Watt University as a part of his Ph.D. program at Ca’ Foscari University Venice and Università di Trieste (Italy). In particular, his work researches active photocatalysts for carbon dioxide photoreduction in mild conditions.
He obtained his MSc in Chemistry and Sustainable Technologies (cum laude) in 2014 at Ca’ Foscari University Venice. His Master thesis focused on the use of titania-based photocatalysts for carbon dioxide photoreduction.
He achieved his BSc in Industrial Chemistry in 2011 at Ca’ Foscari University Venice. His project for his dissertation was centred on the use gold nanoparticles for furfural oxidative esterification.
