Neda Poudineh

PhD Student

School of Engineering & Physical Sciences, Institute of Mechanical, Process & Energy Engineering, Heriot-Watt University, Riccarton, UK

Biography

Neda completed her BSc and MSc in Chemical Engineering in 2013 and 2016, respectively. Her master’s project concerned the kinetic and selectivity modelling of Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis over Fe-Ni/Al2O3 catalyst. After completing her MSc, Neda started her professional career as a researcher and chemical engineer. Here she worked on three environmental projects resulted in three patents.

Neda will now be working with Prof. Susana Garcia and Dr. Ruaraidh McIntosh to develop a MOF-based photocatalytic system that will capture CO2 and convert it to hydrocarbon fuels and other value-added products.
