Dr Patricia Cordoba, member of the Centre for Innovation on Carbon Capture and Storage (CICCS) in the Institute of Mechanical, Process and Energy Engineering (IMPEE), has been awarded with the Special Doctoral Award 2014 in the Industrial Engineering field by the Polytechnic University of Catalonia as the most outstanding of the doctoral theses that were awarded a Cum Laude distinction.
Thesis: Partitioning and speciation of trace elements at two coal-fired power plants equipped with a wet limestone Flue Gas Desulphurisation (FGD) system.
