The 13th International Conference on Greenhouse Gas Control Technologies (GHGT-13) was hosted in Lausanne, Switzerland from 14th to 18th November 2016. The two yearly GHGT conference has become the most prestigious international event to present and hear about new research, new technical developments and demonstration projects updates in the field of CO2 Capture and Storage (CCS). Some members from the Research Centre for Carbon Solutions (RCCS), who are working in the field of capture, transport and geological storage presented results of their research in both the Oral and Poster sessions. This event has been a great opportunity to share our research activities at RCCS with the large community of CCS, as well as to learn about other projects and ideas in this area.
The Greenhouse Gas Control Technologies (GHGT) conference series was formed in 1997 following the merger of the earlier series of ICCDR and the Greenhouse Gas: Mitigation options conference. The IEA Greenhouse Gas R&D Programme (IEAGHG) is the guardian of the conference series. The GHGT conferences are held every two years in IEAGHG’s member countries. The conference series rotates between North America, Europe and Asia. The GHGT conference series has established itself as the principal international conference on greenhouse gas mitigation technologies especially on CCS (CO2 Capture and Storage).
