We are delighted to welcome Dr Ocean Cheung to our team. A short bio is provided below and Ocean’s temporary office is JN 3.04 in James Nasmyth Building.
Ocean graduated with an MChem degree from the University of Warwick in 2009. He then moved to Sweden to do his PhD at the Department of Materials and Environmental Chemistry at Stockholm University. The title of his PhD thesis was “Narrow-pore zeolites and zeolite-like adsorbents for CO2 separation”. Ocean then worked briefly with NeoZeo AB (at Stockholm University) on the development of sorbents for biogas upgrading before taking up a researcher position at Uppsala University, Sweden. At Uppsala University Ocean lead research in the development of highly porous inorganic carbonates for a wide range of applications including water sorption, gas separation, controlled drug delivery and waste water treatment, etc.
