Michael Ogidi attending Hazards 25 conference

 

Michael Ogidi, a PhD student with the CICCS/IMPEE attended the Institution for Chemical Engineers (IChemE) Hazards 25 conference in Edinburgh, Scotland from 13-15 May, 2015.

The Hazards conference is IChemE’s leading process safety conference organized by the Safety and Loss Prevention special interest group of the IChemE. The hazards conference is a gathering of professionals who are active in process safety and risk management for chemical process facilities or other facilities dealing with hazardous materials including:

  • process safety practitioners in industry
  • process safety consultants and safety specialists
  • senior industry leaders accountable for process safety without direct day-to-day responsibility
  • academic researchers
  • regulators and industry bodies

The Hazards 25 provided the opportunity for sharing best practice and latest research on all aspects of chemical and process safety in Europe. Over 300 delegates attended this year’s conference which was in association with the Mary Kay O’Connor Process Safety Centre, USA. The Hazards 26 will be held in Edinburgh from 24 – 26 May, 2016.
