Dr Qi Liu (Jerry) attended the 8th Trondheim Conference on CO2 Capture, Transport and Storage (TCCS-8) on June 16 – 18, 2015, in Trondheim, Norway. The bi-annual conference has since its start in 2003 grown to become one of the leading scientific CCS technology conferences. The 8th Trondheim Conference focused on research and development regarding CO2 capture, transport and storage (CCS). The objective of the Conference is to bring forward, present and discuss work undertaken within R&D institutions, universities and in industry.
Dr Liu gave an oral presentation at TCCS-8, entitled “Experimental Study of Wellbore Cement-rock Interaction for Short and Long-term CO2 Storage Assessment”. This study is a part of £1.2M EPSRC project (CO2 injection and storage – Short and long-term behaviour at different spatial scales), which is led by Prof Sevket Durucan and Dr Anna Korre at Imperial College London. Dr Qi Liu is in charge of the geochemical section of the project.
