Dr. Jin-Yu Wang
Research Associate
School of Engineering & Physical Sciences, Institute of Mechanical, Process & Energy Engineering, Heriot-Watt University, Riccarton, UK
Biography
Jin-Yu joined RCCS as a research associate in 2022, working on PrISMa project and USorb-DAC project. Her main role is to conduct modelling of sorbent-based carbon capture plants and to integrate process models with materials science, techno-economic analysis, and life-cycle assessment. She also has extensive experience in adsorption equilibrium and kinetic measurements on nanoporous materials.
Jin-Yu obtained her PhD in materials and processes from the University of Edinburgh in 2022. Her project was focused on the development of volumetric technique for accurate adsorption kinetic measurements and mass transfer mechanism studies. She has a MSc in Advanced Chemical Engineering from the University of Edinburgh (awarded in 2017) and a BSc in Textile Chemistry, Dyeing and Finishing Engineering from Donghua University (awarded in 2015).
