Biography
Malathi is an accomplished researcher in materials chemistry, currently working as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellow at the School of Engineering and Physical Sciences, Heriot-Watt University. She obtained her Ph.D. in Chemistry from Thiruvalluvar University, India in 2018. Her research focuses on materials chemistry for energy and environmental applications, with a particular interest in environmental remediation and CO2 reduction. She has been awarded three prestigious international post-doctoral fellowships: the Brain Korea (BK21 PLUS) Post-doctoral Fellowship at Gyeongsang National University in South Korea, the Second Century (C2F) Postdoctoral Fellowship at Chulalongkorn University in Thailand, and the Chaoyang University of Technology Post-doctoral fellow position in Taiwan. Malathi has published more than 25 research articles in esteemed international journals and was recognized in Elsevier-Stanford’s top 2% scientists. She is currently an Early Career Editorial Board Member of Applied Catalysis O: Open (Elsevier) and serves as a guest editor for special issues. In addition, she is an active peer reviewer for numerous international journals. Her work reflects a strong commitment to advancing sustainable energy and environmental technologies, with a vision of addressing the most pressing global challenges.
