Yang joined Heriot-Watt University early 2017 in a research role for the Next Generation Green Data Centre for Environmental and Business Sustainability research cluster. Based within the Centre for Innovation in Carbon Capture and Storage (CICCS), he has an extensive but focused range of current research activities.
Previous to joining Heriot-Watt University, Yang worked for the Centre for Sustainable Manufacturing and Recycling Technologies (SMART) where he also obtained his PhD in the field of modelling and management for waste heat energy recovery within manufacturing in 2016 from the Loughborough University. Yang holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Loughborough University in 2012.
Yang is currently leading a project researching Process Integrations with a particular interest in industrial sustainability, eco-intelligent manufacturing and signal processing. He has three Journal papers and one conference paper in these areas.
