We are seeking candidates with a record that demonstrates relevant research coupled with an ability to contribute to the quality and innovation of our teaching in our core areas of mechanical engineering, chemical engineering or sustainability engineering. 

Candidates will be expected to have a strong track record of research in assessing and/or developing solutions to mitigate climate change, germane with the Research Centre on Carbon Solutions (RCCS). This may include but is not limited to:

  • Carbon dioxide capture, transport and utilisation
  • Hybrid energy generation systems and energy storage
  • Green/blue hydrogen and hydrogen infrastructure
  • Fuel flexibility and energy vectors
  • Systems analysis and modelling of climate change mitigation strategies

We welcome candidates with experience of research in decarbonisation of industrial sectors.

Candidates should have a PhD in one of the areas of interest to us and a record of publications in internationally recognised journals. Commensurate with level of appointment, candidates are also expected to have secured external research funding.
